Honda Camino 65cc kit

Post by kalinkamaen »

Hello guys. I am new on this forum.

I have a camino p50 2 i think. And i have just upgraded to 70cc.
I will recieve a proma exhaust tomorrow.

I have started it as it is now, with stock exhaust and stock carb jet.
It runs but it will not idle. So i need to drill my orginal jet. What size
drill do i need to use?

I have ordered this kit:

I don't think you have to drill the jet.
A stock jet is good for the setup you've got.

That the motor wont idle is probably because the carburetor is dirty.

Try out the folowing link

No the carb is not dirty. That i am 100% sure about.
I have just cleaned it and it ran perfect with stock setup. Then there must be something else.

If a camino won't idle is because the carb is dirty beneath the silver screw.

Try to blow air of a aircompressor trough the hole beneath the silver screw on the carburetor.

If that doesn't help, do it again, and again.

Ok, not a carb problem.

Weird sound. Piston should be with ex to the bottom.
Or sometimes there' s an arrow on the piston, it should always be at bottom.

If there's a hole in the Piston, it should be upwards.

Maybe the sound is piston slap.

Here is the sound when running. Is it a normal sound? I could not see any
marks on the piston!

Yes you are right, arrow down against exhaust. And the hole upwards.

What is piston slap?

Than the piston hits the cilinderhead.

2 gaskets between cilinder and motor would prevent the pistonslap.

Or a 65cc cilininderhead.

But as i described, i could NOT see any marks on piston.

Could be piston slap, put this is a cylinder kit. Came with cylinder, piston and rings togehter.

Is it bad driving like this?

Yes, it's bad driving like that.

Try 2 gaskets between motor and cilinder.
Yes everything must be made loose again.

The hole in the piston must be upwards, but i don't think that is the problem.

I have had everything off again and the piston is correct now.
But i still have the knoking sound. So i need to order a new gasket and put 2 on.
Is that what you are suggesting?

Yes that's it. 2 gaskets should do the trick.

Not the metal one.
But the one between motor and cilinder.

Oki thanks, i have ordered 3 kit now. So i have to wait and see :) hope it helps.
I understand what gasket you mean. But thanks for pointing it out though.

The camino runs pretty nice with 70 cc and rest stock. :) Looking forward to test it with
exhaust on. If i want to drill my carb jet. What size should i start with? 0,8 mm?
