Hey, I was wondering if you guys use any liquid cooled scooter kits?
There is only a 'small' group of people in the US that have LC kits on their Hobbit. It is not impossible to get a LC Malossi or Polini kit but it is just more expensive $$$
Any recommendations?
What happened to all the custom Camino builds I saw on here too? I saw some people welding blocks under their cylinder to get the right spacing or stud spacing.
I can't find those anymore! I think they were sprinters.

in the golden projects on this site you can see a project from Duf.

Thank you
Building up the case for matching the cylinder, stud relocation, spacing out the cylinder for the correct timing, 10/12mm wristpin, etc.
Lots of stuff to consider.
Then you have the pump setup...
Do you go Polini pump? well sure, but what if you want a pullstart, cant really do that, so you could go electric
exhaust setup ...
etc.
Nobody I have met says ' Use this kit, make this spacer, do this do this' I thought maybe you guys all use the same cylinder possibly
WOW I never noticed the 'Golden Projects' I like looking through the projecten...
Moped Porn...

Re: Hello from USA
I am going to try to put a stage6 kit on my hobbit this winter. Any kit that is made for a horizontal minarelli engine (Yamaha Aerox, etc.) will fit. I think the stroke needs to be between around 39.2mm
Send me a message if you have any questions, and I might be able to help you.

Sweet dude! I just figured that out a day or so ago - That is what I was aiming for a Minarelli horiz kit.

This photo turned into my scratch / note pad.
Hobbit stock stroke is 39.6 (fsm says so ) I guess Airsal has their t6 series and i guess makes a 'stroker' kit as well. Normally they have the 39.2 kit. it might be even closer to the stock stroke then. And then if you switch to a hobbit 12mm pin it has an even longer or shorter stroke by a tiny tiny bit.
I was thinking 12mm pin, then run a 10mm roller bearing adapter if needed, no downside to running 12mm crank.
The list of all the minarelli motors includes the yam aerox, and Jog LC, yep yep.
But yeah, stud relocation & possibly custom studs if they don't fit right or m7's / , buildup and deck the case, port transfers, boring the case, adjusting the height, setting up a water pump & radiator, hardest fab is going to be getting a header for the kit I think.
Geez, I think 12-14hp would be sufficient, but supposedly the airsal kit pumps 20+hp, haha sick.

oah yeah, contact f,r,ed over on MA if you get a chance. or got 1977 and get that dayang kickstart possibly ( email first ) No need to ship overseas. I chk'd your previous posts
