Re: hello from Portugal
Sorry but this like a new toy when you kid...but this one does not have a hooter, was thinking of put one in the front where the head light is screwed on, i just need the a push button on the stering wired to the hooter...is there an extra one that i can buy ?
Re: hello from Portugal
there are some Camino's with a horn. Custom's and some Camino DX.
But that horn is wired to a battery.
The battery is for the horn and traffic indicator. If the motor isn't turned on, the lights, indicators and horn doen't work.
If the motor is running, the battery charches automaticly.
You can hang something like this.
Or this is original for camino.

That's your basic configuration.
Drive the camino warm. Always configurate your carburetor with a warm engine.
From there you must listen to the rpm.
The air screw must be so that the engine makes the most rotations per minute.
If the wheel turns, adjust the leftmost screw, that controls the gascable.
Now it's time to take it for a spin. Make sure your brakes work!
From there, you should drive at full speed. Then immediately shut down the engine.
Than check your spark plug.
The color should be coffee with milk brown.
If i'ts black, it means the bike get's too little air >> turn the air screw looser.
If it's white or gray the bike get's too much air >> turn the airscrew tighter.
(about a quarter each time)
than again drive a bit full speed, and check spark plug again.
Be careful with the sparkplug, don't turn it to tight.
i canot get it to idle properly,
1-the screw under the carb deposit should be total screwed in or about a couple of turns out??
2-About the air filter, this has got one, i put some kitchen extractor filter material to avoid the sand power to get in..
thanks
Re: hello from Portugal
1. That screw must be totaly screwed in. It has to be tight.
It's purpose of the bottom screw is to drain the carburettor if you clean the carb with compressed air trough
the silver screw beneath the airmixture screw.
2. Your camino will only run properly with the right airfilter. Partnumber of the original is "honda 17205-148-610"
Maybe you can find it on the internet with the number.
The airfilter should be slightly drained in oil. Best is airfilteroil. This is done so the dust sticks in the filter.

Re: hello from Portugal
Hi again.
I have stripped the carb again, i miss cleaning the tube inside the jet, but its so tight i just soak with penetrating oil...
Original the float was filled with petrol so i have cleaned it but keeps on filling in, so i need a new one.
can i buy it in Europe? there are 2 in Usa ebay, but if custmos grab it here it will cost me double to clear, my best bet is europe, surely i can, the bike was made in Beigium.

Re: hello from Portugal
I've seen it once, with my girlfriends camino. The float was full of petrol.
The only thing you can do is get a second hand or a new one.
(New is hard to find. I think it's impossible.)
Best chances for a second hand. I can send you one if you like.
The tube. Best way to get it out.
Take one string of a brakewire.
Push it trough from bottom to above.
Let it make a curve so you can pull it half way trough.
Now, make a triple knought. And pull it out bottomways.
Now the tube should come out.
Clean with compressed air. It's purpose is to drive at half speed.
If the holes are clean, it's better.

Re: hello from Portugal
I got the tube out, strip the butterflies off put a screw drive throught the bore and push it down, i marked the position, i donot know if is important..
About the float i manage to find the tiny hole super glue it i will see if it holds.
They do sale new ones on the states ebay...the problem is custmos here...if bought in Europe you donot have that problem..

Re: hello from Portugal
Easier way to take the tube out: take a bycicle spoke
Bend the final cm of the spoke 90 degrees
Insert it from the choke side inside the carb, into the tube hole and push...
By the way your Camino was made in the '80s: see the type plate on top in the front of the frame: BAUJAHR 198.

Re: hello from Portugal
Not sure what you are showing in the movie.
- Does the wheel keep turning in idle?
- Or does the motor stall when you put choke off?

Re: hello from Portugal
hi
I got new spark plug and new carb float(the old one was badly damaged) it does not keep the idling , you got keep on acelarating with choke off.
thanks

Re: hello from Portugal
So it stalls if you release the gas. Is the idle screw turned in all the way?
