Hello!
My red camino have been in the garage for quite som time, and now I'm getting it ready for summer. Engine turns over easy, and works great, however the problem is turning off the engine.. On my other Camino I've just used the decompression to kill the engine, but on this it doesn't work! Turning off the engine is problematic, and I need to turn on the choke and wait for it do die out..
When starting, I use the decompression, I can feel it works. But opening the decomp to kill it doesn't.. I've no idea what to do/why, so any ideas would be highly appreciated!!!!!!
Ps: thanks for a great forum!!

Hello Torleiv,
Welcome to the forums.
You are certain you can feel the decompression working when you try to start the bike? You should feel a big difference with or without.

Hi GoBieN!
And thank you!
And yes, definitely feel the compression when starting/pedaling,that's the thing I don't understand...
Have been thinking about it, the decomp valve maybe so full of oil and crap, that when engine is running it seales around the valve due to the pressure inside?
I am finding all this very strange...
And thank you!

Re: Turning off engine
hello
i think the little hole in the cilinder
thats gives decomprecion is full off cooked 2 stroke oil
how to clean it
just remove the cilinderhaed
you see the 4 holes from the cilinderbolts in the cilinder
but there is a little 5the hole
that is for the decompresion
clean that and it wil work back
i use a little fine screwdriver to clean it
goodluck

Ahhhhhh that's right Camino_expert,
There's a last nr 5 hole, I didn't think of that. It makes sense to ceep that one clean!
I'm going to take a good check to morrow, then give you the results!
Thank you so much!

Re: Turning off engine
Yes Sir!
Took the bike apart, preparing a good clean of the decomp-valve and the decomp-hole in the cylinder. Turned out the cylinder didn`t have the 5th hole:)
Looks like the cylinder is originally for my Honda Px.....
Anyway, found the original cylinder(with the 5th hole), mounted it and everything is perfect!!! The Camino starts and stoppes whenever I want!!
And I learned something too, just perfect!!!
Thank you so much!
All the best,
Torleiv
