Oki from beer to camino
I got my welded plate back from my neightbour yesterday. Looked like allot of presision work to be done here
with my new dremel

1,5 hour with my dremel, with allot of measuring and a bit of luck.

To be honest I am really happy with the result. I am a noob so you need to
take that as an account when looking at it
Well my sliders i ordered did not fit, so i cant test run for a while

Nicely done!
Didn't know sliders. Why do you choose them instead of rollers?

Re: Honda Camino 65cc kit
Well i have managed to modify my stock sliders, because i couldnt wait that long to
test this setup. And it worked really good.
I am not sure what you guys call sliders, but i mean this one.

And I am using these weights. I am using 6 gram now, but i will go down to 4 gram after i have tested this on the road.

Here is a video of it working. I am little suprised that the belt did not get higher then it
did when reving.

Ok, on this picture in the right are sliders. Didn't know them till now. http://i259.photobucket.com/albums/hh30 ... 49/066.jpg" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;kalinkamaen wrote: am not sure what you guys call sliders, but i mean this one.
The things you modyfied, here we call them "vario geleiders" or vario guides I think.
With the belt loose of the variator, you should check if when the vario is closed at bottom at the axle, how high the belt can go than. With the engine not running of course.
When driving, mine could get a little higher, but doesn't cause the poulies hit eachother at bottom I think.
I think a wider rim should come higher. But have not tested that yet.
You should prevent slipping of the rim at front. Otherwise after a while the vario polie will wear of.
Check by holding the backvario, and turn the front with your other hand.
If it slips, move the rearwheel a little to the back.

Re: Honda Camino 65cc kit
Well its slipping so I need to order a new belt. The back tire is all the way back.
Do the old belt get that much longer when they are old? Or is it wrong belt?
The belt on the spare camino was at same lenght.

Re: Honda Camino 65cc kit
Wow managed to get her up to 73 km/h on a straight road with GPS. Lol it freaking
scary at this speed. I have a bendt rear rim so it was shaking like hell. On the
third attempt my rear tire bursted, lol that was dangerous. Glad i did not hit top speed this time.
Lol need to wait for new set of tires before i do more.

Re: Honda Camino 65cc kit
73 km/h first time is fast on a camino.
But you'll get used to it, and than it's not fast enough.
Very lucky with that tire!!
You say the rim is bended, but maybe your tire was put up wrong.
If the tire lays bad on the rim, there's a woble, and it looks and feels like the rim is bend.
If you put on a new tire, you should use dishwashing detergent.
Put 4 bar on the tire, and than it pops into position.
Than flatten the tire a little till 2.5 bar.

Re: Honda Camino 65cc kit
Yeah i know the feeling. You never get enough power hehe.
But i am really happy, to get it up to this speed and still have the
acceleration that i have. That was my aim in the first place.
Well ordered a new belt, 3 new jets and waiting for my tires to arrive, so i can start painting my
rims.
My old wheel with spokes I know was bendt, It was really bad. My brother told me before i got the
moped that i had to change it. But you know me, power has been my first priority. I doent want put
much energy on this wheel now because i have my two others ready soon

Re: Honda Camino 65cc kit
Got some parts today. I will try to do some work tomorrow.

I also got some 6 volts bulbs. And it really helped. Took a picture of the numbers if
someone needs a new front bulb.

Re: Honda Camino 65cc kit
Why did you put on the tyres while the wheels aren 't painted yet ?

Re: Honda Camino 65cc kit
Hehe, because i do not want to make scratches when puting them on.
Re: Honda Camino 65cc kit
Wel, it 's not a good idea spray painting them with the tyres on and I put on a tire without using tools. So there should be no scratches at all.
